Akashi Seijuro x Reader - First Sight

Love at first sight.

A phrase Akashi Seijurō has heard many times throughout his life, but never truly understood. How could someone fall in love when they knew nothing of the person? He thought it was complete and utter nonsense, although he saw cases happen occasionally.

So when he met her, he thought nothing of it. Sure, he may like the way she does her hair, makeup, and the way she dresses, but that doesn't mean he loves her though.

Right?

No, surely he must love her style. Yes, he must love her style, not her. Although he does like the way her laugh, and come to mention it, he does like it when her voice goes up in pitch when she's  excited...

"No, that's impossible. She is only a friend, and will remain a friend." Akashi thought out loud, causing the stares of everyone in the classroom to turn eyes to him.

"Akashi-kun, I trust you will think about your relationship problems later?" The teacher spoke, pushing up her glasses. "Y-yes." Oh God, now he was stuttering? What was this girl doing to him?

"Sei!" She called from behind the red-haired teen. "Yes?" He scored a basket as her approached him. "I was wondering if-! Hey, your face looks awfully flushed... Are you alright?" Her concerned look hit him right in the heart. Just as he was starting to forget about what happened in class!

'Think of something else. Something you don't like about her.' He thought as his expression remained calm and focused. When he couldn't think of anything in particular, he cursed himself mentally, and, because he was distracted, he missed the shot.

"Sei!" Her mouth turned into an 'o' shape as she saw the ball bounce off the hoop. "You never miss a shot! That's it, I'm taking you to the nurse's office!" She grabbed his hand and practically dragged him there, a sight that shocked every remaining student and employee of the school.

"Are you sure you're alright? You're still a bit warm!" She fretted over the emperor, who wasn't use to this much personal attention from anyone but his butlers and maids. "I assure you, I am alright." He spoke sternly, however he felt tongue-twisted. What was this girl doing to him? He decided to use his last resort.

"(Name), you do not have to take care of me any longer. Go home now; that's an order." His other personality awoke in him; the one that everyone kneeled down at. Surely that would be a hint for her.

But no, that only made things worse.

"Sei?! How could you say that? I won't leave until I'm sure you get home safely! You've come down with a case of something, so it's my job to make sure you get better!" She spoke with such enthusiasm, it was obvious she wouldn't back down, even at the eye of the emperor.

As it turned out in the end, (Name) kept true to her word and took Akashi to his mansion. After she had left and he was put to bed and given medicine (courtesy of the maids), he thought once more about "love at first sight."

Maybe it wasn't some kind of nonsense after all.
